The Company
AVIX-RT is a company delivering products and services focusing at concurrent embedded systems. The most important product of AVIX-RT is a Real Time Operating System (RTOS) called AVIX, targeting the 16 bit Microcontroller families of Microchip. Services will be offered in the form of courses and background information related to constructing concurrent systems.

AVIX is an acronym for Advanced Virtual Integrated eXecutive. This RTOS is specifically developed for the dsPIC30, dsPIC33, 24F and 24H families of Microchip microcontrollers. Besides being developed as a professional real time kernel, one of the design constraints was it should offer features making it easier to understand its working thereby making it easier to learn how to apply this RTOS in professional products. As a side effect, AVIX is very well suited to be used for educational purposes.
