Function Generators

A Function Generator is used to generate an electrical waveform.

It can be used for testing control systems, amplifiers, analogue to digital convertors and part of an automatic test system. In many cases the generation of a waveform can be triggered from an external event.

Most function generators will generate standard square, sinusoidal or triangular wave types, however customised wave shapes can be created when using an arbitrary waveform generator.
