What is Tag Connect?

What is Tag Connect?

Tag Connect is a simple and secure way of connecting debuggers, programmers and test equipment to your PCBs. Tag-Connect eliminates the need for a programming or JTAG connector on your PCB by utilising pogo pins housed in a unique, non-reverisble configuration to connect to the target board.

Why Should I Use Tag Connect?

Tag Connect saves you money! There is no need to fit a connector to your target board and using Tag Connect saves board space.

Tag-Connect for BDM Interfaces

Tag-Connect for BDM Interfaces?

Tag-Connect for BDM Interfaces The Background Debug Mode (BDM) interface used with MPC5xx/MPC8xx microcontrollers has 10 signal/ground-pins. This makes Tag-Connect the ideal connection system for such targets.

The TC2050-IDC Tag-Connect cable is avialbe in both locking and non-locking versions and can be used directly with all Macraigor Systems BDM interfaces.

TAG-Connect for 20-pin ARM JTAG?

TAG-Connect for 20-pin ARM JTAGMicrocontrollers based on the ARM core most commonly fitted with 20-pin, 0.1" pitch connectors.

Two adapters are available from Tag Connect which allow either one or two 10 way Tag-Connect cables to be used.

Only 7 out of 20-pins are used for JTAG signals, the remainder are either not used (3) or used for signal ground connections. In most cases a single 10 way TC2050-IDC cable can be used with a TP2050-ARM2010 adapter.

If you need to connect all 20 connections, then two TC2050-IDC Tag-Connect cables can be used with a TC-2050-2X10 adapter.
