Color Click Board
Add colour sensing functionality to your device with the MikroE colour Click Board™. This compact accessory board employs TCS3471 colour light-to-digital converter sensor, three NPN resistor-equipped transistors, as well as RGB LED diode. With a resolution up to 16 bits, the TCS3471 colour light sensor provides red, green, blue, and clear light sensing (RGBC) that detects light intensity under a variety of lighting conditions and through a variety of attenuation materials. colour Click Board™ uses the MikroBUS I2C lines (SDA and SCK) to communicate with the target microcontroller, and uses 3 digital output lines to drive RGB LED. Featuring a programmable interrupt function, it reduces micro-processor interrupt overhead. The board is designed to use a 3.3V power supply only.
In the absence of any light source, RGB LED provides light for illumination of objects. colour Click Board™ is an ideal choice for RGB LED backlight control, light colour temperature monitor, industrial process control, medical diagnostic equipment, healthcare/medical, and many more.

IC/Module: TCS3471 Digital colour Light Sensor
TCS3471 is a colour light-to-digital converter featuring RGBC colour sensor channels. It precisely detects light intensity under a variety of lighting conditions and through a variety of attenuation materials. It contains 4x4 photodiode array, integrating amplifiers, ADCs, accumulators, clocks, buffers, comparators and state machine.
colour Click includes separate pin for level-style interrupts. When the value of an RGBC conversion exceeds the upper or lower threshold limit, an interrupt is generated. Furthermore, a programmable interrupt persistence functionality enable the user to control how many consecutive exceeded thresholds are necessary to trigger an interrupt.
