Color Click Board
Add colour sensing functionality to your device with the MikroE colour Click Board. This compact accessory board employs TCS3471 colour light-to-digital converter sensor, three NPN resistor-equipped transistors, as well as RGB LED diode. With a resolution up to 16 bits, the TCS3471 colour light sensor provides red, green, blue, and clear light sensing (RGBC) that detects light intensity under a variety of lighting conditions and through a variety of attenuation materials. colour click uses the MikroBUS I2C lines (SDA and SCK) to communicate with the target microcontroller, and uses 3 digital output lines to drive RGB LED. Featuring a programmable interrupt function, it reduces micro-processor interrupt overhead. The board is designed to use a 3.3V power supply only.
In the absence of any light source, RGB LED provides light for illumination of objects. colour click is an ideal choice for RGB LED backlight control, light colour temperature monitor, industrial process control, medical diagnostic equipment, healthcare/medical, and many more.

TCS3471 is a colour light-to-digital converter featuring RGBC colour sensor channels. It precisely detects light intensity under a variety of lighting conditions and through a variety of attenuation materials. It contains 4x4 photodiode array, integrating amplifiers, ADCs, accumulators, clocks, buffers, comparators and state machine.
colour click includes separate pin for level-style interrupts. When the value of an RGBC conversion exceeds the upper or lower threshold limit, an interrupt is generated. Furthermore, a programmable interrupt persistence functionality enable the user to control how many consecutive exceeded thresholds are necessary to trigger an interrupt. .
