Force Sensor Click Boards™
The Force 3 Click Board™ is a compact add-on board with circuitry for implementing Force Sensing Resistor into your projects whose resistance changes when a force, pressure, or mechanical stress is applied. This board features FSR 400 series 34-00004 single zone Force Sensing Resistor from Interlink Electronics, a robust polymer thick film (PTF) device that exhibits a decrease in resistance with an increase in force applied to the surface of the sensor. Simple and easy to integrate, ultra-thin, and cost-effective, Force 3 Click has an actuation force as low as 0.2N and sensitivity range up to 20N. It also provides 2-Wire I2C compatible control interface using an MCP3221, low-power 12-bit resolution A/D converter. This Click board™ is optimized for use in human-machine interface devices including automotive electronics, medical systems, industrial controls and robotics.
Force 3 Click is supported by a mikroSDK compliant library, which includes functions that simplify software development. This Click board™ comes as a fully tested product, ready to be used on a system equipped with the mikroBUS™ socket.
The Force 4 Click Board™ Board is based on HSFPAR003A piezoresistive force sensor from Alpsalpine. This product is a force sensor using the effect of a piezoresistive bridge circuit formed on silicon diaphragm. Piezoresistive force sensors achieve higher linearity than other force sensors.
To help with stability and accuracy Force 4 Click Board™ also includes MCP1101-33 a high precision buffered voltage reference as a power supply to a force sensor that allows high stability and accuracy of output voltage readings.
The Force 5 Click Board™ is a compact add-on board that contains a stable and flexible compensated/amplified micro force sensor. This board features the FMAMSDXX025WC2C3, a piezoresistive-based force sensors offering a digital output for reading force over the specified full-scale force span and a temperature range from Honeywell Sensing and Productivity Solutions. The very stable digital output that is directly proportional to the force applied to the mechanically-coupled sphere, enhanced accuracy, and reduced total error band that enhances system performance are just some of the good features that this sensor has. This Click board™ is suitable for industrial applications such as force/grip measuring equipment, load and compression sensing, robotics, and more.
