  • AC Current Click Board™

    The AC Current Click Board™ can measure alternating currents up to 30A. It features the MCP3201 ADC (analog to digital) converter and the MCP607 CMOS Op Amp, both from Microchip. The Click Board™ is designed to run on either 3.3V or 5V power supply. It communicates with the target MCU over an SPI interface, and the AN pin on the MikroBUS™ interface.

    AC Current Click Board™ can only be used for sensors with voltage output (30A input current).

    The Ambient 3 Click Board™ is calibrated XYZ chromatic smart lighting director, providing the measurement data in digital format over the I2C interface. It utilizes the AS7225, a miniature light sensor with UART and I2C interfaces. Packed in a small casing, this sensor can provide calibrated for life nano-optic sensor providing direct CIE1931 XYZ and CIE 1976 u’v’ coordinate mapping. 

    A well-proven, integrated tri-stimulus sensing element designed to meet the XYZ standard observer response that mimic the human eye and is extremely stable over both operating temperature and time. The device contains a 16-bit integrating analog-to-digital converter, which integrates current from the photo-diodes. To ensure the integrity of the data, upon completion of an integration cycle, results are transferred to double-buffered registers.

    The Ambient 4 Click Board™ is a light intensity-sensing and measuring Click Board™, which features an accurate, light-intensity sensor labelled as BH1721FVC, made by ROHM Corporation. It offers a high measurement accuracy in the range between 1x to 1.35x of the actual light intensity. The spectral response of the sensor is calibrated to closely match the spectral response of the human eye. Thanks to its high level of integration, the sensor requires a minimal number of external components, allowing the Click Board™ to incorporate an additional level translating IC, ensuring a reliable data transfer over the industry-standard I2C interface.

It utilises the LTR-329ALS-01, an ALS with the I2C interface. Packed in a small transparent ChipLED package, this sensor can provide very accurate readings: thanks to a 16-bit and resolution and high dynamic range, it can be used in both very dim and very bright lighting conditions: it can cover the range from 0.01 lux to 64 klux. It has an excellent IR filtering and two photo-sensing elements, allowing linear response over the whole range.     Hydro Probe Click Board™

    The Hydro Probe Click Board™ is a capacitive soil moisture sensor based on capacitive changes that are used to detect the volumetric water content in the soil. Water detection is achieved by using function oscillator MIC1557 and ADC converter MCP3221 from Microchip, which allow you to convert moisture presents to the digital value. Compared to resistant soil moisture sensors, its capacitive style reduces electrode erosion making it corrosion resistant and a better choice for applications such as soil moisture detection and automatic plant watering.

  • Illuminance Click Board™

    The Illuminance Click Board™ from MikroE is a light sensor designed for better detection of ambient lighting over conventional light sensors that are too sensitive to infrared light. The board features an on-board TSL2561, a light-to-digital converter, which transforms light intensity to a digital signal output. The TSL2561 sensor uses two separate photodiodes: One is sensitive to the full-spectrum of light, the other to infrared light only. Using a formula, the user gets a sensor reading then approximates light response of the human eye. Illuminance Click Board™ communicates with your target microcontroller via MikroBUS I2C lines: SCL (clock) and SDA (data). The zero-ohm J1 jumper allows the user to select between three available I2C address.

    The Illuminance Click Board™ finds application in auto-brightness regulators on OLED or LCD displays, or any other kind of automatic ambient light regulation. It is designed to use a 3.3V power supply only.
