    The IR Distance Click Board™ represents a sensor that incorporates GP2Y0A60SZ0F distance measuring sensor unit. The sensor module is composed of an integrated PSD (position sensitive detector), an infrared LED and a signal processing circuit, measuring between 10 and 150 cm. The sensor remains uninfluenced by the reflectivity of the object such as environmental temperature and the operating duration. IR Distance Click Board™ outputs an analog voltage corresponding to the distance of the object (through the MikroBUS AN pin). Since this device outputs the voltage corresponding to the detection distance, it can also be used as a proximity sensor. IR Distance Click Board™ use a 3.3V or a 5V power supply.

    The IR Eclipse Click from MikroE is a popular accessory board incorporating an EE-SX198 photo interrupter sensor, which consists of an infrared transmitter and receiver facing each other, separated by a 3mm-wide slit. When an object, say a piece of paper, is placed in the slit, the beam of infrared that travels from the transmitter to receiver is eclipsed, which in return, activates the sensor. The activated sensor status is indicated by the on-board INT LED.

Whether the user is switching a channel on a TV or sending command to the air conditioner through a remote, it involves infrared transceivers. IrDA2 Click Board™ is an add-on communication board that employs a TFDU4101 infrared transceiver module, compliant to the latest IrDA physical layer standard designed for high-speed infrared data communication. The board also features a MCP2120 infrared encoder/decoder connected with the 7.3728 MHz external crystal. Positioned between the UART and infrared (IR) optical transceiver, MCP2120 module performs the modulation and demodulation method in accordance with the IrDA standard. IrDA2 Click Board™ uses the UART interface to communicate with the target board microcontroller. Using a SMD jumper, the user can also select to choose between a 3.3V or 5V power supply.     The IrThermo 3 Click Board™ is a device which allows contactless measurement of the object temperature. It uses highly advanced MLX90632 FIR sensor, which detects the average temperature of objects within its field of view (FOV), which is typically ±25°. It is factory calibrated, with the calibration constants stored in its internal EEPROM. Besides EEPROM used for storing trimming values, device settings, and calibration constants, it has additional RAM area that can be used for auxiliary measurement data storage. The integrated temperature sensor provides ambient temperature measurement, necessary for a proper calibration. The device is calibrated to sense objects with the temperature ranging from -20 &Deg;C up to 200 &Deg;C, and the ambient temperature ranging up to 80&Deg;C. The measurement resolution is 0.02&Deg;C. Measured data is available via the industry standard I2C communication bus.
