The full name of the HD Audio is High Definition Audio. The early R & D code is named as Azalia. It is a new Audio Interface which is pushed out by Intel and Dolby together. The HD Audio is used in the Intel 915/925 Chip at first, and then more and more chips which can support the HD Audio application are on the market gradually, such as CMI9880, ALC880 and so on.
