With the Light Click Board™, Mikroelektronika introduces a compact and easy solution to add light measurement to your design. Carrying a PD15-22CTR8 PIN photodiode, this measurement add-on board lets the user effectively measure ambient light intensity and provides a signal (analog or digital) to the target board microcontroller.

Moulded in water clear plastic with depictive silk screen markings, PD1522CTR8 is a high photo sensitivity PIN photodiode that is ideal for high speed photo detector, copier, game machine, etc. The Click Board™ also includes MAX6106 voltage reference and MCP3201 ADC with SPI communication interface. Light Click Board™ communicates with the main board MCU through SPI (MISO, SCK, CS) and AN lines. It is designed to use either 3.3V or 5V power supply.

  • Based on the PD15-22CTR8 PIN Photodiode
  • Fast response time
  • High photo sensitivity
  • Small junction capacitance
  • MAX6106 voltage reference
  • MCP3201 ADC with SPI communication interface
  • RoHS compliant
  • Compact package
  • Communication through mikroBUS SPI interface
  • 3.3V or 5V power supply
  • Easy integration in mikroBUS form factor
  • Supported by all mikroElektronika compilers

Product Details

IC/module: PD15-22CTR8 PIN Photodiode

Offered in a compact flat top view lens SMD package, PD15-22CTR8 is a silicon PIN photodiode with high speed and high photo sensitivity features. It is spectrally matched to visible and infrared emitting diode and finds application in copier and game machine, high speed photo detector, and many more.

SMD Jumpers

Light Click features two jumpers, namely, J1 and J2. It communicates to the target MCU via SPI interface (ADC) or directly through the AN pin depending on the position of the J2 jumper. The zero-ohm J1 jumper allows user to switch between 3.3V or 5V power supply. 3.3V is used by default.
