mikroE Click Boards

mikroE Click Boards

mikroE Click Boards

Click Boards™ offer simple and inexpensive way to evaluate and incorporate interfaces into your microntroller-based system. Over 185 different models have been created so far and the list grows weekly.

MikroBUS™

Developed by MikroElektronika (mikroE), Click Boards™ connect to your microcontroller via the MikroBUS™. a powerful interface common to all models. MikroBUS™ is evolving into a standard within the embedded systems market and is being taken up by many other manufacturers.

Why Click Boards™?

They provide a standard way of adding evaluating new interface devices. MikroElektronika design and manufacture Click Boards™ for device manufacturers to offer a simple way of using their devices. They are compatible with all MikroE development boards, supporting a wide range of microcontroller types including ARM Cortex, AVR, PIC, PIC32, dsPIC, FT90x and 8051. MikroE models are also fully supported by MikroE complers and toolsets and example application code is created to enable you to start using your new Click Board™ straight away This can significantly reduce the learning curve normally associated with the introduction of new technology.

Incorporate MikroBUS™ into Your Own Design

There are many good reasons to want to offer extendability to your own board designs:

  • To allow other interfaces to be added to your own system without having to redesign your hardware.
  • Test the market for additional functionality at minimal outlay

Although mikroBUS™ is a trademark of mikroElektronika, they allow you to incorporate the bus layout into your design as long as the silkscreen is clearly labeled "mikroBUS™" and includes the mikroBUS™ logo.

Third Party Support

Many leading semiconductor manufacturers are now offering MikroBUS™ interfaces on their development platforms allowing our models to be used wherever you need them.

nRF S Click Board

nRF S Click Board

Introduce a 2.4 GHz transceiver to your design with the nRF S Click Board! After the launch of nRF T and nRF C, MikroElektronika has introduced a compact add-on board that incorporates the nRF24L01P 2.4 GHz transceiver module with an embedded baseband protocol engine. It carries an SMA antenna connector, which basically differentiates the click board from the other two nRFs. The module supports air data rates of 250 Kbps, 1 Mbps and 2 Mbps, and is designed for operation in the world wide ISM frequency band at 2.400

OLED B Click Board

OLED B Click Board

The OLED B Click Board is a display board with a white monochrome passive-matrix OLED display. This bright and clear 96x39 pixel display is designed to be viewable from wide angles. Controlled by SSD1306 controller, OLED B click offers a range of functionalities, including horizontal and vertical scrolling, contrast control, normal or inverse image display and more. The click board uses SPI or I2C mikroBUS lines to communicate with the target board microcontroller. The interface outputs can be chosen by resoldering three jumpers to the appropriate position. In spite of a sharp, high-contrast display, OLED B click operates on low power consumption. It is an ideal choice for displaying lines of text or icons. This module uses a 3.3V power supply only.

OPTO Click Board

OPTO Click Board

Introduce electrical isolation between inputs and outputs to the device using the OPTO Click Board. The board has two DIP VO2630 dual-channel optocoupler modules that enable high speed (10 MBit/s) data transfer between its input and output with galvanic isolation. The DIP8 sockets allow for easily replacement of optocouplers. OPTO click board uses four mikroBUS lines (INT, CS, RST, AN) to communicate with the target board microcontroller. It also features six onboard screw terminals that ensure simple and secure connections. OPTO click operates on a 3.3V or 5V power supply, which can be selected using a SMD jumper.

OPTO click is an ideal choice for PLC and ATE I/O isolation, high-speed A/D and D/A conversion, digital control power supply, computer peripherals, microprocessor system interface, multiplexed data transmission and many more.

OSD Click Board

OSD Click Board

The OSD Click Board is an add-on display board intended to add monochrome on-screen display (OSD) generator to the user design. The board employs a combination of a MAX7456 single-channel monochrome OSD generator module, integrated EEPROM memory as well as two RCA sockets. It is preloaded with 256 user-programmable characters or pictographs in NTSC and PAL standards. MAX7456 module is ideally-suited for creating on-screen menus, or place the company logo in the streaming video. It has a 12x18 pixel character size and can easily display information in up to 16 lines of 30 characters each. For communication with target board microcontroller, the OSD click makes use of mikroBUS SPI (SDI, SDO, SCK, CS#), RST, LOS, HSYNC and VSYNC lines. The board is designed to operate on 5V power supply only. OSD click is an ideal option for consumer electronics, in-cabin entertainment, industrial applications, security cameras, security switching systems, and many more.
