Why Click Boards™?

They provide a standard way of adding evaluating new interface devices. MikroElektronika design and manufacture Click Boards™ for device manufacturers to offer a simple way of using their devices. They are compatible with all MikroE development boards, supporting a wide range of microcontroller types including ARM Cortex, AVR, PIC, PIC32, dsPIC, FT90x and 8051. MikroE models are also fully supported by MikroE complers and toolsets and example application code is created to enable you to start using your new Click Board™ straight away This can significantly reduce the learning curve normally associated with the introduction of new technology.

Incorporate MikroBUS™ into Your Own Design

There are many good reasons to want to offer extendability to your own board designs:

  • To allow other interfaces to be added to your own system without having to redesign your hardware.
  • Test the market for additional functionality at minimal outlay

Although mikroBUS™ is a trademark of mikroElektronika, they allow you to incorporate the bus layout into your design as long as the silkscreen is clearly labeled "mikroBUS™" and includes the mikroBUS™ logo.

Introduce accelerometer functionality to the device with the Accel Click Board. This accessory board features an ultra-low power ADXL345 3-axis digital accelerometer capable of high resolution measurement up to ??16 g. The high resolution (13-bit) allows measurement of inclination changes less than 1.0??. The module is packed with special sensing functions, which includes activity/inactivity sensing, tap sensing, free-fall sensing. Accel click is integrated with a 32-level first in, first out (FIFO) buffer, which can be used to store data to minimize host processor intervention. The board communicates using I2C or SPI interface with the target board microcontroller, which can be selected using the J1, J2 and J3 SMD jumpers. Accel click is designed to use a 3.3V power supply only. The green LED diode denotes the power supply status.

Adapter Click Board

Adapter Click Board

Adapter click is a breakout board to add mikroBUS to IDC10 adapter to the user design. This accessory board is intended to easily connect IDC10 headers to the seventh generation development boards with mikroBUS sockets. It also has 2x5 connection pads that are compatible with mikroElektronika's IDC10 modules. Adapter click features two ways of establishing connection: using male or female IDC10 connectors, or using IDC10 flat cable and soldering it either on the top, or the bottom side. However, in some cases, female header socket is a better choice, depending on user and design convenience. Adapter click has two jumpers: one for SPI/I2C selection and another one for selection of power supply range. Adapter click is designed to use a 3.3V or 5V power supply.
