Click Boards™ offer simple and inexpensive way to evaluate and incorporate interfaces into your microntroller-based system. Over 185 different models have been created so far and the list grows weekly.
Developed by MikroElektronika (mikroE), Click Boards™ connect to your microcontroller via the MikroBUS™. a powerful interface common to all models. MikroBUS™ is evolving into a standard within the embedded systems market and is being taken up by many other manufacturers.
Why Click Boards™?
They provide a standard way of adding evaluating new interface devices. MikroElektronika design and manufacture Click Boards™ for device manufacturers to offer a simple way of using their devices. They are compatible with all MikroE development boards, supporting a wide range of microcontroller types including ARM Cortex, AVR, PIC, PIC32, dsPIC, FT90x and 8051. MikroE models are also fully supported by MikroE complers and toolsets and example application code is created to enable you to start using your new Click Board™ straight away This can significantly reduce the learning curve normally associated with the introduction of new technology.
Incorporate MikroBUS™ into Your Own Design
There are many good reasons to want to offer extendability to your own board designs:

Although mikroBUS™ is a trademark of mikroElektronika, they allow you to incorporate the bus layout into your design as long as the silkscreen is clearly labeled "mikroBUS™" and includes the mikroBUS™ logo.

Thermo Click Board
The Thermo Click Board is a compact accessory board that employs a MAX31855K thermocouple-to-digital converter. It performs cold-junction compensation, resolves temperatures to 0.25°C, and allows readings as high as +1372℃ and as low as -270℃.
THUMBSTICK Click Board
The Thumbstick Click Board is a quality input board that makes it easy for the users to add a high precision analog thumb joystick to their design. This click board features a MCP3204 12-bit A/D converter. It also has got a pushbutton enabled joystick with dual axis and spring return. This joystick is quite similar to the ones used on joypads on popular gaming consoles like PS2 and Xbox controllers. Thumbstick click has typical life span of 100,000 cycles. With the help of two potentiometers connected to a stick, directional input gets received in the x and y axes of the joystick unit. An interrupt signal to the target board microcontroller is sent by the mechanical pushbutton. The MCP3204 12-bit A/D converter then converts the analog signal to digital. To output this digital signal to the target board, Thumbstick click makes use of mikroBUS SPI (CS, SCK, MISO and MOSI) lines.
Thumbstick click Input device is suitable for fine control of graphical user interfaces and remote control operated video games, since it facilitates 360 degree directional movement.
Thunder Click Board
Add a lightning sensor to the design with the Thunder Click Board. This add-on measurement board incorporates AS3935 Franklin lightning detector IC and MA5532 coil antenna.
For communication with the target board microcontroller, Thunder click uses the mikroBUS SPI (MOSI, MISO, SCK, CS) and INT lines. The board is designed to use 3.3V or 5V power supply, selectable via SMD jumper.
Thunder click is designed to detect the existence and proximity of potentially hazardous lightning activity within a 40km radius. Thunder click is also capable of providing an estimation of the distance to the head of the storm from 40km away down to 1km in 14 steps, while rejecting disturbances from man-made signals, such as motors and microwave ovens. It can also provide information on the noise level, which makes it an ideal choice for weather stations, sports equipment, UPS, power line conditioners, smart grid systems, environmental monitoring systems, portable GPS, bike computers, etc.Thunder click provides detection of both cloud-to-ground and cloud-to-cloud lightning activity within a 40km range.
Tilt Click Board
The Tilt Click Board from mikroE is a measurement click board that includes RPI-1035, a four-directional optical tilt sensor. This surface mount type optical sensor provides positional feedback by telling if the device is leaning left, right, forward or backward at a given moment. It also offers substantial benefits over mechanical or magnetic-based direction detector solutions, which also makes it an ideal solution for situations where the user only require direction detection, and not the highly precise positional measurements. Tilt click communicates with the target board MCU through mikroBUS PWM and INT lines to get Vout1 and Vout2 outputs from the sensor. It also has two onboard LED signals that are responsible for visual feedback from the sensor. The click board uses either a 3.3V or 5V power supply.
It is ideal for remote controls or game controllers, as well as applications related to robotics, or rotating displays.
TILT n SHAKE Click Board
The mikroE TILT-n-SHAKE Click Board is a multifunctional add-on board that is designed to keep away people from tampering with your design. Featuring a combination of tilt AND shake functionalities, the TILT-n-SHAKE click includes a MMA8491Q IC sensor that is used as a 3-axis, 45-degree tilt sensor and can also be configured as a 3-axis digital accelerometer. The user is required to keep the Enable pin (EN) pulled to logic level high to use it as an accelerometer.
Featuring a 14-bit digital output and ??8g full-scale range, this MEMS chip has a 1 mg/LSB sensitivity, and a fast response time of around 700 microseconds. TILT-n-SHAKE click communicates with the target board MCU through mikroBUS I2C interface, using SCL, SDA pins. As a tilt sensor, the MMA8491Q chip has three detection outputs, one for each axis: Xout, Yout and Zout. For specific applications you may need only one or two dimensions, not all three.
This click board is intended to use a 3.3V power supply. It is ideal for tamper detect and anti-theft detection systems.
TouchKey Click Board
The TouchKey Click Board features four capacitive pads powered by the TTP224 touchpad detector IC. TTP224 chip comes with multiple operating modes that allow the user to configure how the buttons will work. The capacitive pads can be toggled even when placed under a layer of glass or paper. TouchKey Click outputs four interrupt signals: OUTA, OUTB, OUTC and OUTD in place of default mikroBUS RST, AN, PWM and INT pins, respectively. It features three onboard jumpers enable the user to configure several operating modes of the TTP224 IC, including fast mode or low power mode, direct or toggle mode, enable/disable multi-key input, and so on. TouchKey Click is designed to work on either 3.3V or 5V power supply.
It works as an ideal replacement for mechanical switches and buttons, and being capacitive, it can register inputs through paper or glass.
TouchPad Click Board
Introduce an input device to the prototype using the Touchpad Click Board from mikroE. With a small form factor, this click board acts as a minimalistic capacitive touch input device powered by Microchip
