Click Boards™ offer simple and inexpensive way to evaluate and incorporate interfaces into your microntroller-based system. Over 185 different models have been created so far and the list grows weekly.
Developed by MikroElektronika (mikroE), Click Boards™ connect to your microcontroller via the MikroBUS™. a powerful interface common to all models. MikroBUS™ is evolving into a standard within the embedded systems market and is being taken up by many other manufacturers.
Why Click Boards™?
They provide a standard way of adding evaluating new interface devices. MikroElektronika design and manufacture Click Boards™ for device manufacturers to offer a simple way of using their devices. They are compatible with all MikroE development boards, supporting a wide range of microcontroller types including ARM Cortex, AVR, PIC, PIC32, dsPIC, FT90x and 8051. MikroE models are also fully supported by MikroE complers and toolsets and example application code is created to enable you to start using your new Click Board™ straight away This can significantly reduce the learning curve normally associated with the introduction of new technology.
Incorporate MikroBUS™ into Your Own Design
There are many good reasons to want to offer extendability to your own board designs:
- To allow other interfaces to be added to your own system without having to redesign your hardware.
- Test the market for additional functionality at minimal outlay
Although mikroBUS™ is a trademark of mikroElektronika, they allow you to incorporate the bus layout into your design as long as the silkscreen is clearly labeled "mikroBUS™" and includes the mikroBUS™ logo.

Barometer Click Board
The Barometer Click Board from mikroE is a high precision measurement add-on board that features the LPS25HB IC. The LPS25HB chip is a highly sensitive piezoresistive absolute pressure sensor that is capable of detecting as little as 0.01 hPa RMS in high resolution mode. The measurement range is from 260 to 1260 hPa with a 24-bit digital output. Barometer click can use either mikroBUS SPI or I2C communication interface, which is specified by soldering onboard jumpers in appropriate position. It also has a multifunctional interrupt pin that can be configured in either of the two ways: as Data Ready or as threshold trigger. Barometer click is designed to use a 3.3V power supply only.
This board is highly suitable for adding barometer or altimeter functionality to any design, for example, altitude measurement for wearables, weather station equipment, enhancing GPS functionality, etc.
BEE Click Board
A new add-on board for communication, the mikroE BEE Click Board employs the Microchip MRF24J40MA 2.4 GHz IEEE 802.15.4 radio transceiver module. MRF24J40MA module includes integrated crystal, internal voltage regulator, matching circuitry and PCB antenna. It operates in the 2.4 GHz frequency band and is FCC, IC and ETSI compliant. BEE click is an ideal solution for wireless networks, smart home and building automation, and other electronic applications that require wireless communication. The board is connected to the microcontroller through a SPI interface and is provided with a 3.3V power supply only. BEE click supports ZigBee, MiWi, MiWi P2P and proprietary wireless networking protocols with data rates of 250 kbps (IEEE 802.15.4) and 625 kbps (Turbo mode).

Bluetooth Click Board
Add wireless capability to the device with the Bluetooth ClickBoard from MikroElektronika. Designed to provide bluetooth capability up to 100m range, the board features low power, high performance bluetooth radio. Bluetooth Click has an onboard fully qualified RN-41 Bluetooth 2.1/2.0/1.2/1.1 module. It is managed through ASCII commands via the UART and/or PIO signals. Buzz Click Board
Add sound function to the device in the form of beeps, tones and alerts using the Buzz Click Board. This audio and voice board employs a premium piezo speaker that produces audio signals. This compact round speaker allows the user to create simple audio sounds or voice messages into portable devices. The piezo speaker/buzzer is designed for best performance with a resonant frequency of 3.8 kHz. The Buzz click also features an integrated buzzer driver is connected to either the digital (CS/GPI) or the PWM line. Either of these pins can be used to provide the signal from the MCU to the buzzer driver. This click board is designed to operate using a 5V power supply. The user can solder an SMD jumper to the 3.3V position, when required. It has onboard power LED that denotes the power status.
