Why Click Boards™?

They provide a standard way of adding evaluating new interface devices. MikroElektronika design and manufacture Click Boards™ for device manufacturers to offer a simple way of using their devices. They are compatible with all MikroE development boards, supporting a wide range of microcontroller types including ARM Cortex, AVR, PIC, PIC32, dsPIC, FT90x and 8051. MikroE models are also fully supported by MikroE complers and toolsets and example application code is created to enable you to start using your new Click Board™ straight away This can significantly reduce the learning curve normally associated with the introduction of new technology.

Incorporate MikroBUS™ into Your Own Design

There are many good reasons to want to offer extendability to your own board designs:

  • To allow other interfaces to be added to your own system without having to redesign your hardware.
  • Test the market for additional functionality at minimal outlay

Although mikroBUS™ is a trademark of mikroElektronika, they allow you to incorporate the bus layout into your design as long as the silkscreen is clearly labeled "mikroBUS™" and includes the mikroBUS™ logo.

The NFC Tag Click Board is an accessory add-on board from MikroElektronika carrying an M24SR64 NFC/RFID tag IC with a dual interface. It is embedded with a highly-reliable 8KB EEPROM memory. The user can operate NFC Tag click in three different ways: via I2C interface, with a 13.56MHz RFID reader, and with an NFC-enabled smartphone, tablet, or similar device. The RF protocol is compatible with both NFC Forum Type 4 Tag and ISO/IEC 14443 Type A. The click board communicates with the target board microcontroller using mikroBUS I2C (SCL, SDA), INT and RST lines.

Introduce electrical isolation between inputs and outputs to the device using the OPTO Click Board. The board has two DIP VO2630 dual-channel optocoupler modules that enable high speed (10 MBit/s) data transfer between its input and output with galvanic isolation. OSD click is an add-on display board intended to add monochrome on-screen display (OSD) generator to the user design. The board employs a combination of a MAX7456 single-channel monochrome OSD generator module, integrated EEPROM memory as well as two RCA sockets. It is preloaded with 256 user-programmable characters or pictographs in NTSC and PAL standards. MAX7456 module is ideally-suited for creating on-screen menus, or place the company logo in the streaming video. It has a 12x18 pixel character size and can easily display information in up to 16 lines of 30 characters each.
