MikroE Click Boards

MikroE Click Boards

MikroE Click Boards

Click Boards™ offer simple and inexpensive way to evaluate and incorporate interfaces into your microntroller-based system. Over 185 different models have been created so far and the list grows weekly.

MikroBUS™

Developed by MikroElektronika (mikroE), Click Boards™ connect to your microcontroller via the MikroBUS™. a powerful interface common to all models. MikroBUS™ is evolving into a standard within the embedded systems market and is being taken up by many other manufacturers.

Why Click Boards™?

They provide a standard way of adding evaluating new interface devices. MikroElektronika design and manufacture Click Boards™ for device manufacturers to offer a simple way of using their devices. They are compatible with all MikroE development boards, supporting a wide range of microcontroller types including ARM Cortex, AVR, PIC, PIC32, dsPIC, FT90x and 8051. MikroE models are also fully supported by MikroE complers and toolsets and example application code is created to enable you to start using your new Click Board™ straight away This can significantly reduce the learning curve normally associated with the introduction of new technology.

Incorporate MikroBUS™ into Your Own Design

There are many good reasons to want to offer extendability to your own board designs:

  • To allow other interfaces to be added to your own system without having to redesign your hardware.
  • Test the market for additional functionality at minimal outlay

Although mikroBUS™ is a trademark of mikroElektronika, they allow you to incorporate the bus layout into your design as long as the silkscreen is clearly labeled "mikroBUS™" and includes the mikroBUS™ logo.

Third Party Support

Many leading semiconductor manufacturers are now offering MikroBUS™ interfaces on their development platforms allowing our models to be used wherever you need them.

Proximity 2 Click Board

Proximity 2 click is an accessory board featured with a tiny footprint MAX44000 IC. The chip features an integrated ambient light sensor as well as proximity sensor. It comprises of a group of photodiodes that work by converting light into current. The internal circuitry then converts the resulting current into a digital value. Proximity 2 click has an onboard ambient light sensor with a dynamic range of 0.03 to 65.535 lux. The IR proximity detector, with a sensing range of approximately 12cm, is matched with an integrated IR LED driver. Proximity 2 click communicates to the target board microcontroller via mikroBUS I2C (SCL, SDA), and INT lines. All readings are available on an I2C communication bus. It also has a programmable interrupt pin. Proximity 2 click supports a 3.3V power supply only.

Due to its small size, it is an ideal choice for industrial sensors, presence detection, tablet PC applications, and smartphones.

Pulse Click Board

Pulse Click Board

Designed to meet the needs of modern developers, PULSE click features the NE555 timer/pulse generator by Texas Instruments. This pulse generator comes with adjustable frequency configured in two steps. The circular central switch integrated in the middle of the board is used to first choose between four frequency bands with the aid of a frequency selector. Once the appropriate position is selected, the required output frequency is fine-tuned using the onboard potentiometer in a range between 0.05 Hz and 1000 Hz. The high-precision NE555 timer is designed to produce highly accurate time delays or oscillation. The resulting output can be configured to be sent either as a digital signal through the OUT pin or an interrupt (INT pin). The PULSE click is designed to operate using either a 3.3V or 5V power supply only. With precise frequency control, it produces pulse generation for equipment testing and similar purposes.

With such features, this click board makes an ideal option for applications like fingerprint biometrics, iris biometrics, RFID reader, and so on.

Raspberry PI 2 Click Shield

NEW

Raspberry PI 2 Click Shield

The Pi 2 click SHIELD is an improved version of the original Pi click SHIELD and an extension for the popular Raspberry Pi mini-computer models 2B and B+. This improved model has the pinout on the edge of the board expanded from 28 to 40 pins and conforms to the expanded pinout of newer Raspberry Pi models. This high performance shield has two mikroBUS host sockets that make Raspberry Pi compatible with a wide range of click boards. These sockets also allow for a large number (more than a thousand) of combinations on this shield. The new Pi 2 click SHIELD offers a tight fit and works with the new generation Raspberry Pi models. It comes with all headers already soldered on as well as two 12mm distancers with mounting screws. The two additional mounting holes allow for even more secure connections. It also has an on-board oscilloscope probe ground point.

This compact computer compatible shield integrates all sorts of sensors, transceivers, motor drivers, encoders, connection ports, and so on.
