Why Click Boards™?

They provide a standard way of adding evaluating new interface devices. MikroElektronika design and manufacture Click Boards™ for device manufacturers to offer a simple way of using their devices. They are compatible with all MikroE development boards, supporting a wide range of microcontroller types including ARM Cortex, AVR, PIC, PIC32, dsPIC, FT90x and 8051. MikroE models are also fully supported by MikroE complers and toolsets and example application code is created to enable you to start using your new Click Board™ straight away This can significantly reduce the learning curve normally associated with the introduction of new technology.

Incorporate MikroBUS™ into Your Own Design

There are many good reasons to want to offer extendability to your own board designs:

  • To allow other interfaces to be added to your own system without having to redesign your hardware.
  • Test the market for additional functionality at minimal outlay

USB SPI Click Board

Introduce SPI serial communication using USB cable to the user design with the USB SPI Click Board. This add-on board comes with MCP2210 USB-to-SPI protocol converter with GPIO as well as USB MINI B connector. The MCP2210 chip contains 256 bytes user EEPROM, 128-byte buffer to handle data, and 9 general purpose I/O pins. The 12 MHz crystal oscillator aboard USB SPI click offers external clock waveform for MCP2210 IC. The board includes two LED diodes, wherein, the green LED diode denotes the presence of power supply and the other indicates the SPI traffic. Compact and easy to implement, USB SPI click is designed to communicate with the target board microcontroller through Serial Peripheral communication interface as a master device. The board is designed to operate on 3.3V or 5V power supply, selectable by the SMD jumper.

USB SPI click is an ideal choice to connect with SPI client devices directly from the computer, without the need for a microcontroller.

Introduce an ultraviolet light sensor to the design with the UV click! The UV click features an easy-to-use ML8511 IC UV sensor that is designed to warn the user of excessive ultraviolet radiation levels and outputs either analog or digital signals that is linearly proportional to the UV intensity it detects. It also features an onboard MCP3201 ADC, which converts the signal, however, one can bypass it and get an analog output by soldering the A/D SEL jumper in the AN position. ML8511 IC UV sensor is sensitive to UV-A (95 percent of Ultraviolet light) and UV-B rays (the one causing sunburns).

UV click makes an ideal choice for making devices that notify the user of sunburn or identify the UV index as it relates to weather conditions. It also finds great use in mobile computing devices, such as, a smart phone, a mobile phone, and a watch, at low power and a compact package (QFN).

UV click communicates with the target board through mikroBUS SPI (CS, SCK, MISO) or AN lines. It is designed to use a 3.3V power supply only.

Designed to easily adding WiFi functionality to your device, this click board features HLK-M30 WiFi module with built-in WEP64/WEP128/TKIP/AES, WEP/WPA-PSK/WPA2-PSK authentication.
