MikroE Click Boards

MikroE Click Boards

MikroE Click Boards

Click Boards™ offer simple and inexpensive way to evaluate and incorporate interfaces into your microntroller-based system. Over 185 different models have been created so far and the list grows weekly.

MikroBUS™

Developed by MikroElektronika (mikroE), Click Boards™ connect to your microcontroller via the MikroBUS™. a powerful interface common to all models. MikroBUS™ is evolving into a standard within the embedded systems market and is being taken up by many other manufacturers.

mikroBUS™ Pinout Diagram

Why Click Boards™?

They provide a standard way of adding evaluating new interface devices. MikroElektronika design and manufacture Click Boards™ for device manufacturers to offer a simple way of using their devices. They are compatible with all MikroE development boards, supporting a wide range of microcontroller types including ARM Cortex, AVR, PIC, PIC32, dsPIC, FT90x and 8051. MikroE models are also fully supported by MikroE complers and toolsets and example application code is created to enable you to start using your new Click Board™ straight away This can significantly reduce the learning curve normally associated with the introduction of new technology.

Incorporate MikroBUS™ into Your Own Design

There are many good reasons to want to offer extendability to your own board designs:

  • To allow other interfaces to be added to your own system without having to redesign your hardware.
  • Test the market for additional functionality at minimal outlay

Although mikroBUS™ is a trademark of mikroElektronika, they allow you to incorporate the bus layout into your design as long as the silkscreen is clearly labeled "mikroBUS™" and includes the mikroBUS™ logo.

Third Party Support

Many leading semiconductor manufacturers are now offering MikroBUS™ interfaces on their development platforms allowing our models to be used wherever you need them.

Accel Click Board

Introduce accelerometer functionality to the device with the Accel Click Board. This accessory board features an ultra-low power ADXL345 3-axis digital accelerometer capable of high resolution measurement up to ??16 g. The high resolution (13-bit) allows measurement of inclination changes less than 1.0??. The module is packed with special sensing functions, which includes activity/inactivity sensing, tap sensing, free-fall sensing. Accel click is integrated with a 32-level first in, first out (FIFO) buffer, which can be used to store data to minimize host processor intervention. The board communicates using I2C or SPI interface with the target board microcontroller, which can be selected using the J1, J2 and J3 SMD jumpers. Accel click is designed to use a 3.3V power supply only. The green LED diode denotes the power supply status.

With such features, this measurement board is an ideal choice for defense and aerospace applications, mobile devices, medical and industrial instrumentation, hard drive protection and many more.

Adapter Click Board

NEW

Adapter Click Board

Adapter click is a breakout board to add mikroBUS to IDC10 adapter to the user design. This accessory board is intended to easily connect IDC10 headers to the seventh generation development boards with mikroBUS sockets. It also has 2x5 connection pads that are compatible with mikroElektronika's IDC10 modules. Adapter click features two ways of establishing connection: using male or female IDC10 connectors, or using IDC10 flat cable and soldering it either on the top, or the bottom side. However, in some cases, female header socket is a better choice, depending on user and design convenience. Adapter click has two jumpers: one for SPI/I2C selection and another one for selection of power supply range. Adapter click is designed to use a 3.3V or 5V power supply. Adapter Click communicates using mikroBUS

Air Quality Click Board

NEW

Air Quality Click Board

Air quality click board features MQ-135 gas sensor in its design for measuring the air quality in apartments, homes and offices. This add-on board helps the users in detecting poisonous gases like ammonia (NH3), nitrogen oxides (NOx), benzene, CO2, smoke and others that harm the air quality, and pollute it. Air quality click is equipped with a calibration potentiometer and a power indicator LED. It also has got a mikroBUS host socket and two jumpers. The MQ-135 sensor features a gas sensing layer constructed of tin dioxide which is an inorganic compound with the formula SnO2. Tin dioxide is known to have lower conductivity in clean air.

As the level of pollution increases in the air, the conductivity rises too. User can calibrate Air quality click for the environment by adjusting the load resistance of the sensor circuit. As the concentration of the target air changes, the resistance of the sensor component also gets changed.

Alcohol Click Board

NEW

Alcohol Click Board

Add a high-sensitivity alcohol gas sensor to your design with the addition of Alcohol click. The board incorporates a MQ-3 high-sensitivity alcohol sensor to detect alcohol concentration. Made of an inorganic compound called Tin dioxide (SnO2), the gas sensing layer on the MQ-3 sensor unit has lower conductivity in clean air. However, the sensitivity rises as the levels of alcohol gas rise.

Alcohol click features a small potentiometer for calibration that enables the user to set its own scale and adjust the load resistance of the sensor circuit. Using the AN (OUT) mikroBUS line, Alcohol click communicates with the target board. This board is designed to use 5V power supply only.

It offers very good sensitivity and fast response to alcohol gases, and is designed to detect presence of alcohol in concentrations from 0.04 to 4mg/l. It makes an ideal choice for portable alcohol detector and breathalysers for estimating BAC (blood alcohol content).

AlphaNum R Click Board

NEW

AlphaNum R Click Board

Embed your design with a two-digit red 14-segment alphanumeric display using the AlphaNum G click. The click board features two TLC5926 16-bit constant-current LED sink drivers. It contains 16-bit shift register and data latches, which convert serial input data into parallel output format. It has a dual-character LED 14-segment display (also known as a starburst display) with two additional segments for decimal points or periods.

Designed for displaying both letters and numbers, it provides clear, legible LED display. The R in the name of this click stands for red. AlphaNum R click communicates with the target board via mikroBUS RST, CS, SCK, MISO, MOSI, PWM and INT pins (marked here as LE2, LE1, CLK, DOUT, DIN, NUMSEL and NUMSEL# respectively). It is designed to support either a 3.3V or 5V power supply, selectable through solder jumper.
