WiFi2 Click Board

MikroElektronika has introduced its third click with a WiFi module, named the WiFi 2 Click Board. It is allegedly to be the most affordable WiFi click board yet. Designed to easily adding WiFi functionality to your device, this click board features HLK-M30 WiFi module with built-in WEP64/WEP128/TKIP/AES, WEP/WPA-PSK/WPA2-PSK authentication. It also has a built-in TCP/IP protocol stack. Along with that, it also supports a few additional network protocols, including TCP/UCP and DHCP/DNS.

Ideal for IoT applications, WiFi2 click is easily configurable and can be set up with either a static or dynamic IP address, which makes it suitable for applications, like home automation, telemetry, remote control, industrial systems, etc. It communicates with the target board microcontroller through MikroBUS UART (TX, RX), RST, and AN lines. WiFi2 click board is designed to use a 3.3V power supply. A red LED indicates WiFi activity. The board is equipped with a PCB trace antenna that is designed for the 2400



WiFi3 Click Board

The WiFi 3 Click Board from MikroE is a powerful communication add-on board with the ES8266 module that provides the easiest way to connect your devices to the internet. This WiFi module makes an ideal addition to a click board collection if the user wants to venture into IoT. WiFi3 click features a combination of ESP8266 module with a system on chip.

The module further includes an integrated TCP/IP stack and supports WiFi Direct (p2p). The System on Chip (SoC) offers powerful on-board processing and storage capabilities for a WiFi module and offloads all networking functions from the microcontroller. Other than the standard MikroBUS socket, WiFi3 click includes 6 additional GPIO pins for user to connect and control external electronics. It also features a PCB trace antenna that works for the 2400-2483.5 MHz frequency band. WiFi3 click is designed to use a 3.3V power supply only.
