Uni Hall Click Board
After the BI HALL click, a new click also based on the Hall effect: the UNI HALL Click Board from mikroE. It offers the user an easy way to introduce a unipolar Hall switch to the design. The board is equipped with the Melexis US5881 unipolar Hall-effect sensor that is sensitive to north pole magnetic fields. It outputs a LOW logic level when exposed to a north-pole magnetic field, whereas a HIGH logic level when the north pole is taken away or a south pole is introduced. UNI HALL click also features a 74LVC1T45 single-bit, dual supply translating transceiver. The board uses mikroBUS INT line for communication with the target board microcontroller. It is designed to use either a 3.3V or 5V power supply, which is selectable through a solder jumper.
UNI HALL click can be utilized in countless ways by placing magnets in strategic spots. It is an ideal option to make durable push buttons, or regulate RPM by mounting it on a wheel, or detecting liquid level by attaching it to a float. In its simplest application, UNI HALL click can be engaged as part of a durable contactless proximity switch.
The UNI-REG Board contains an on-board LM2576, a simple switcher step-down voltage regulator. This monolithic IC is designed to provide all active functions for a step-down (buck) switching regulator that drives various loads (up to 3A) with an exceptional line and load regulation.
The UNI-REG Board is ideally suited for any embedded project that requires a power source conversion, i.e., from higher to lower AC (DC) voltages. The unit takes 7-23V AC (or 9-32V DC) as input voltage and offers a steady and stable 5V, 4V, 3.3V, 2.7V or 1.8V DC output. The UNI-REG Board can be used to reduce and stabilize input voltage to the values selected by jumpers. Furthermore, the board comprises of screw terminals to facilitate easy connections. Mounting holes are provided on the corners for easy integration into the final device. All the components used on-board are of high-quality to maintain high-level performance.
Unique ID Click Board
Unique ID click is a low-cost accessory board that includes a DS2401 enhanced Silicon Serial Number IC. It provides a unique registration number to the hardware design. Two Unique ID clicks might look alike on the outside, but each click board features a unique 48-bit serial number, which distinctively identifies the device in the world of mass-produced electronics. Unique ID click is also an excellent teaching tool for a user to understand how 1-Wire communications work. It uses 1-Wire interface for communication with the target board microcontroller, either through a GP1 or GP0 pin (here in place of the default AN and PWM mikroBUS pins). The power for reading/writing the device is derived from the data line itself with no need for an external power source. The multidrop capability also allows for multiple DS2401 chips to reside on a single data line. It is designed to use either a 3.3V or 5V power supply.
Unique ID click is an ideal choice for equipment registration, PCB identification, to establish network node ID, and other similar purposes.
